| Résumé: | Anemia is one of the most common problems that occur during pregnancy, this is because that there is an iron deficiency this is the best known nutritional deficiency. The prevalence develop ferropenic anemia in pregnant women is high which unfortunately can be dangerous for both the mother and unborn child increases the risk of premature birth and low birth weight. Therefore performing clinical laboratory testing is considered important during and after pregnancy. This research was conducted by a cross-sectional and descriptive study where valuation type serum transferrin, iron binding capacity, microcytosis and hypochromia in which 60 pregnant women participated who met the inclusion criteria and the technique involved was made electrochemiluminescence automated equipment COBAS C311 and the manual method that was used was the blood smear and then make wright's stain and observed under the microscope the erytrocites that are observed in a smaller than normal erythrocyte size, and hypochromic where no central pallor and decreased erythrocyte size. Once the research concludes that there is the presence of low levels of serum transferrin, while in that respect to the iron binding capacity is a little high, and hypochromia microcytic are elevated. The same that lead to a presumptive diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia this problem is due to low consumption of foods with iron in our study population. Keywords: Transferrin iron binding capacity, microcytosis hypochromia, pregnancy, iron deficiency anemia. |
