Summary:The overall research aims; identify gaps generated by the lack of educational resources and the factors that limit the updating of teaching materials that have been employed in the teaching-learning process in Module IX students of the School of Business Administration in Distance Learning mode Loja, National University of Loja in the period 2011-2012. The methods, techniques and procedures used in the research process for hypothesis testing were: hypothetico - deductive, analytical - explanatory, and for the development of the analysis came to the descriptive method. The technique was applied to survey teachers and students of Module IX Race Business Administration in Distance Learning mode Loja, in the period 2011-2012. Although the use of the resources used in the teaching-learning is considered good, are not in line with technological progress and is not updated due to lack of teaching materials and resource teachers lack training plans for teachers. At the end of the investigation report, recommendations are proposed in order to update the materials according to the advancement of information technology and communication through alternative guidelines to develop skills, and physical abilities conditional and coordinated by students.
