Gaia:The research entitled “EL JUEGO Y LA MOTRICIDAD GRUESA EN LOS NIÑOS DE 4 A 5 AÑOS DE LA ESCUELA DE EDUCACIÓN BÁSICA MIGUEL RIOFRÍO UBICADA EN LA CIUDAD DE LOJA, EN EL PERÍODO 2019-2020.” 2020 had a general objective: analyze the importance of games in gross motor skills in children from 4 to 5 years. Regarding the methodology, it was used non-experimental approach with a mixed type method; additionally, descriptive, analytical-synthetical, and inductivedeductive methods were used. The technique and instrument used were: the interview applied to an initial II educator and the Escala Abreviada de Desarrollo (EAD-1) of Nelson Ortiz. The investigated sample was conformed by 1 educator and 23 children. In the literature review, there were analyzed two variables: games and gross motor skill. The results obtained revealed that 70% of the researched population presented issues to perform different motor skills, being located in a medium and alert range. Therefore, an alternative proposal was designed “let’s move the skeleton” with its respective methodological guide based on children’s games as a means to strengthen the gross motor skill of children in order to be applied by the institutions’ educators.
