Add Tag | Summary: | The purpose of this work is to carry out an evaluation of the Development Plan and Territorial Planning of the Gonzanamá Canton in the reduction of Unsatisfied Basic Needs due to access to basic services for the period 2014-2019. In the Gonzanamá canton, drinking water is covered in a 72.48%, piped water, that is, untreated water represents 24% and a small group of 3.52% does not have water. Likewise, in the matter of sanitary sewage, the existing coverage within this canton is 39.47% (E. Jiménez, 2019). Hence, our research performs an analysis of planning in terms of public investment taking into account administrative, financial, management criteria or, on the contrary, lack of articulation and coordination in the exercise of GAD powers. The investment made in projects aimed at reducing poverty due to lack of basic services was identified through data analysis (poverty in terms of drinking water and sanitation). A public policy aimed at reducing poverty due to lack of basic services was proposed, taking into account the results obtained in the previous objectives, as well as in the interview with the mayor of the Gonzanamá canton. The importance of the implementation of an adequate development plan in a public institution is exalted, in the reduction of poverty due to lack of basic services, it is shown that in the Gonzanamá canton, there is a lack of basic services especially in rural areas. The lack of a public policy aimed at enforcing the exclusive powers of this level of government is evident, as far as it has to do with the reduction of poverty due to unsatisfied basic needs, access to basic services. |
