要約:The present research, titled "Manipulative Didactic Resources to Strengthen Reading," had the general objective of analyzing the impact of manipulative didactic resources on strengthening reading skills in fifth-grade students in the Language and Literature subject at Alonso de Mercadillo School, during the 2024-2025 period. Three specific objectives were established: the first, to determine which manipulative didactic resources the teacher uses in the classroom to promote students' reading; the second, to diagnose the impact of various manipulative resources on the development of activities to foster reading skills; and the third, to develop a didactic proposal based on the use of manipulative didactic resources to promote reading in the students of Alonso de Mercadillo School. The research had a mixed approach, descriptive and explanatory in nature, with a non-experimental design. The methods used included analytical, synthetic, inductive, and statistical methods. The techniques employed were an interview directed at the teacher, a diagnostic evaluation designed for the students, and an observation sheet to validate the data. The sample consisted of 28 students and one teacher, selected through non-probabilistic sampling. The results of the interview indicate that the teacher lacks a clear understanding of manipulative resources, as they are not implemented in the classroom. Regarding the diagnostic test, it was observed that 35% of the students, represented by 10 learners, exhibit significant errors in reading. Therefore, this highlights the importance of incorporating manipulative resources into reading instruction, as they not only enhance student motivation but also improve their comprehension and information retention
