Calidad de vida de pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica en tratamiento sustitutivo con hemodiálosis del Hospital Isidro Ayora de Loja

In this descriptive research, cross-sectional and prospective, a questionnaire was applied to personal data and a quality of life questionnaire SF- 36; 62 patients with chronic renal failure who attended the hemodialysis unit of the Hospital Isidro Ayora during the period from March to August 2013, aged 18 to 70 years and older The predominant gender, is the male of a age equal to or greater than 70 years, which have studied the incomplete grade and living in the urban sector, 48.7 % of men and 56.5 % of women do not work, 66.1 % are married, a 58.1 % if they receive support, of the associated pathologies was the most frequent HTA and the majority of patients has a time greater than two years in the substitutive treatment of hemodialysis. With regard to the physical function of patients most consider it a good one, and only a minority that it is bad, the 40.3 % had not had body pain, 33.9 % to 35.5 % perceived to your overall health and vitality as good and very good ,in relation to the social role a 37.1 per cent and to the mental health a 48.8 % believe that it is excellent, however a large percentage believes that its physical role and its emotional role is bad According to the SF-36 health survey, 37.1 % felt their quality of life as a very good 33.9 % as good and the 14.5 % as excellent and regular. In regard to the association of the quality of life and the treatment time in hemodialysis patients in more than two years in replacement treatment in hemodialysis perceive to your quality of life as very good.
