Summary:This study focuses on corroborating that the use of creative teaching strategies promotes the development of critical thinking, creativity and the practical application of knowledge to strengthen the academic performance of students. The general objective of the research was to strengthen the academic performance of students, through the use of creative teaching strategies, in the subject of Natural Sciences, in the ninth year of Basic Education, of "27 de febrero" High School academic period 2022-2023. Regarding the methodology, induction was used; since, it starts from the identified problem, through direct observation. The approach is qualitative, because the educational fact is characterized. In addition, according to the nature of the information, it is a Participatory Action Research. Since, through the interaction with the study subjects, alternative solutions to the identified problem were proposed and executed. On the other hand, the investigation according to its temporality, is of a transversal type; since, it was carried out in a certain and relatively short period of time, which includes from the diagnosis to the discussion of results. The results obtained through the application of evaluation instruments (questionnaire) and research (interview and survey), showed that the strategies that had the greatest acceptance by students correspond to: learning among peers, exposure-dialogue and cooperative learning; which allowed the significant improvement of their academic performance. Once the investigation is finished, it is concluded that the academic performance of the students is strengthened through the implementation of creative didactic strategies in the teaching and learning process of the subject of Natural Sciences.
