LINEAMIENTOS ALTERNATIVOS., the same as was done according to the Academic Board of the National University of Loja. He was raised as a central problem: ¿How does the use of children's literature by teachers affects the development of creativity of children in the first year of Basic Education Center Education "Ciudad de Zumba" Canton Chinchipe, Province Zamora Chinchipe?. The overall objective was to: Determine how children's literature affects the development of creativity of children in the first year of basic general education Educational Center "Ciudad de Zumba" Canton Chinchipe, Province Zamora Chinchipe. The methods used for this thesis research were: scientific, inductive-deductive, analytic-synthetic, statistical model, which allowed efficiently achieve the goal proposed in this research. The techniques and instruments used are: survey that was applied to teachers to determine the types of children's literature that are used in the daily work with children and the observation guide that was applied to classroom activities to evaluate if children's literature affects the development of creativity of children. According to the results of the survey of teachers and with reference to question 3. Select the types of children's literature that used in daily work, 2 teachers corresponding to 100% state that the types of children's literature they use in daily work are folk tales, fables, rhymes, riddles, and classic stories by 50%, in order to strengthen the development of reading habits, human values, taste in art, intelligence and expressive capacity of children. According to the observation guide to assess the development of creativity of children 45% have a satisfactory knowledge, although there is a 55% that their initiative, imagination, originality, and knowledge is satisfactory or unsatisfactory, so the need to strengthen activities of reading children's literature, such as stories, fables, rhymes, riddles, etc.
