الملخص:This thesis focuses on an exhaustive analysis of the process of granting productive credits in a key region for corn production in Ecuador. The study addresses how these credits, essential for boosting agricultural development and improving food security, are being effectively implemented in practice and what impact they have on the local farming community. The methodological approach of the research combines qualitative and quantitative techniques to obtain a holistic view of the topic. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with BanEcuador officials, complemented by detailed surveys of Sabanilla corn producers. In addition, a documentary review of the credit application forms and other relevant materials was carried out. This mixed approach allowed us to capture both institutional perspectives and farmers' experiences and perceptions regarding productive credit. The research results revealed several key findings. It was identified that a significant proportion of producers accessed credit for the first time, which indicates progress in financial inclusion. However, the study also discovered considerable delays in the credit granting process and difficulties in its management, raising questions about the efficiency of the system and its adaptability to farmers' needs. Despite these challenges, overall satisfaction with BanEcuador's services was positive, although with room for improvement in areas such as communication and post-credit support.
