La importancia del uso de las cámaras corporales para garantizar la protección de los derechos de las personas desde la perspectiva de la sentencia 06282-2021-01091

The present research work titled "The significance of using body cameras to safeguard individuals' rights: a perspective on ruling 06282-2021-01091," aims to underscore the importance of investigating the incorporation of technological advancements, specifically body cameras, into law enforcement regulations. Given their responsibility to ensure public safety, maintain societal order, and safeguard individuals' rights and security within the national jurisdiction, law enforcement agencies are provided with lethal firearms and corresponding ammunition by the State, enabling the National Police to dutifully achieve their legal obligations. Consequently, this research work endeavors to substantiate the necessity of integrating body cameras into the Police Regulations as a means to effectively uphold these responsibilities. For the development of this legal research, the application of rigorous methodology was imperative. This involved using and reviewing bibliographic resources, essays, documents, scientific articles, and laws, which facilitated the collection of sufficient information for the research. Additionally, various methods such as the scientific, inductive, analytical, exegetical, hermeneutic, dialectic, comparative, statistical, and synthetic methods were employed, all of which were relevant to the advancement of this study. Furthermore, research techniques were used to gather adequate and pertinent information regarding the investigated issue. Specifically, surveys and interviews were conducted, consisting of six questions directed at legal professionals well-versed in the subject matter. These individuals contributed with profound knowledge concerning the reality of the problem at hand. Based on the conducted research work, it can be determined that there is a need to incorporate the utilization of body cameras integrated into the police server in the Police Regulations. This incorporation aims to ensure the protection of individuals' rights. Firstly, it serves as a legal technical defense for police officers who are unjustly accused of exceeding their authority when employing firearms during their official duties. Secondly, it aims to maintain the trust and security of citizens by providing effective service from law enforcement agents.
