सारांश:Ecuadorian Traditional Music has become an important part of the strengthening of cultural values. To the present work we have raised a general objective: To contribute to the instrumental development of the students of Colegio de Artes “Salvador Bustamante Celi”, through the execution of traditional Ecuadorian music within children’s symphony orchestra. To achieve this objective we delimited the research universe with 150 students to whom were applied surveys, and an interview guide that was made to 3 conductors of children’s symphony orchestras; with a total population of 153. The results were analyzed qualitatively, which allowed to determine that Ecuadorian Traditional Music is not performed within the subject because there is no repertoire for children’s symphony orchestras; as a consequence the interest in interpreting our music is lost. In view of that, it was necessary to elaborate a text of Ecuadorian Traditional Music as propose to this research problem. The aforementioned text was presented through a concert named “Ecuador Sinfónico”, with the participation of students of the orchestra subject 4th , 5 th middle basic accompanied by the choir of 2nd basic elementary of Colegio de Artes “Salvador Bustamante Celi”. This concert was made in Benjamín Carión Mora National Theater with the participation of authorities, teachers, and general public. The conductors of children's orchestras who participated in this works designed for children’s orchestras in order to promote the diffusion of our Ecuadorian Traditional Music. To conclude we want to mention a reflection cited by (Zuleta, 2004-2005) of the Kodaly method that mentions It is necessary to learn, practice and recognize the notes and tones as soon as possible. [...] listen carefully to folk songs: they are a source of wonderful melodies and through them you can get to know the peculiar character of many villages. The conducter orchestra develop motor skills, agility, and auditory discrimination that are essential musical qualities in their musical training. The shortage of arrangements adapted to their level it is a limitation that, in addition to hindering the teaching-learning 14 process leads to ignorance of culture. The main recommendation is addressed to the authorities and conductors of the orchestra subject in order to support the initiative to have orchestral arrangements for this level, allowing in this way to raise the quality and knowledge of Ecuadorian Traditional Music in the community belong to the Colegio de Artes “Salvador Bustamante Celi”.
