Embarazos en las adolescentes y su impacto en el desarrollo socioeducativo de las estudiantes del Colegio de Bachillerato Zapotillo, en la actualidad

Adolescent pregnancy is characterized as a problem that affects the well-being and socio- educational development of students, generating a negative impact on their quality of life and future aspirations. In the educational sphere, this problem limits the students' ability to continue with their studies and academic development. This research has been carried out with the objective of analyzing the effects of teenage pregnancy and its impact on the educational development of the students of the Zapotillo High School, as well as to conceptualize theoretically and methodologically the causes and effects of this problem, and then to propose alternatives for prevention and solution as an intervention proposal from Social Work. To carry out the research a qualitative methodology was used, based on techniques such as in-depth interviews and participant observation applied to 25 high school students of the educational institution, which allowed to obtain important results such as the main causes of teenage pregnancy are the lack of sex education and lack of intrafamily communication, causing effects such as school dropout and mental health problems, which in turn generates significant impact on their socio-educational development. It is concluded that the research has been of great importance to understand that the problem creates limitations for students to continue in the educational system.
