Methods as were included in the investigation; deductive, inductive, analytical, descriptive statistics, analysis of results. The sample with which they worked was a total of 130 people belonging to the canton catamayo. The main objective was to determine the importance of print media in the cultural field, generating knowledge of the information offered by the canton culturally.Through which the visitor will be informed of what the county has in its various spheres culturally. Thus in the proposed goals, objectives, economic feasibility, technique, location of what will be the journal detailing; getting your product which consists of monthly reports in different cultural inhabitants catamayo Canton areas. Keywords: print media, culture and development cultureEs ineludible resaltar la importancia y responsabilidad que tienen los Medios de Comunicación en la sociedad, siendo uno de sus propósitos el servicio a la comunidad, en las diferentes problemáticas que aquejan a la ciudadanía. Por ello, el trabajo consiste en la “LA CREACIÓN DE UN MEDIO IMPRESO PARA POTENCIAR EL DESENVOLVIMIENTO CULTURAL DE LOS HABITANTES DEL CANTÓN CATAMAYO”. En la investigación se incluyeron métodos como; deductivo, inductivo, analítico, descriptivo, estadístico, análisis de resultados. La muestra con que se trabajó fue un total de 130 personas, pertenecientes al cantón catamayo. El objetivo principal fue determinar la importancia de un medio de comunicación impreso en el ámbito cultural, generando una información del conocimiento de lo que ofrece el cantón culturalmente. Mediante el cual el visitante estará informado de lo que posee el cantón en sus diversos ámbitos culturalmente. Por ende en la propuesta se detalla los objetivos, metas, factibilidad económica, técnica, localización de lo que será la revista; obteniendo su producto mensualmente el cual consta de reportajes en diversos ámbitos culturales a los habitantes del cantón catamayo.
