সংক্ষিপ্ত:The interpretation of Ecuadorian music in the polyphonic choir promotes the dissemination of music of the national pentagram since it provides a repertoire for one of the most popular groups in the musical field such as choral groups. The present work entitled “Elaboration and dissemination of choral arrangements with Ecuadorian genres for amateur choir” has been proposed as an objective to develop arrangements for choral format of Ecuadorian genres in order to encourage the interpretation of this music in choral groups. The processes carried out to develop the present work allowed in a first instance to carry out a theoretical inquiry, in which each of the musical genres that were the subject of choral arrangements: albazo, pasacalle, aire típico. Next, the transcription of the pieces was made from mp3 audios, since no scores of the pieces were found. Once this process was completed, the stage of adaptation of the works for voice format with piano accompaniment began. As a result of this work, seven arrangements for choral format of Ecuadorian genres were elaborated, three of them for four SATB voices (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and four for two voices with piano accompaniment, as well as the theoretical support presented below. It is important to mention that the proposed arrangements are characterized by the use of elements such as pentaphony, polyphony, rhythmic accompaniment, imitative counterpoint, with greater presence of homophony. Finally, through these arrangements we seek to enrich the Ecuadorian culture through the interpretation of these pieces, which have allowed us to explore different musical elements in order to create a sonorous contrast in the elaborated repertoire.
