| Shrnutí: | Preeclampsia is a multisystemic syndrome, considered a constant problem in public health, since it can rapidly progress to serious complications due to the fact that it affects most of the organs, causing damage to both the pregnant woman and the fetus. Therefore, this study was proposed in order to determine the lipid profile and uric acid in pregnant patients attending the Motupe Health Center, to identify their value as predictive tests in the diagnosis of preeclampsia, during the period May-July 2022. The present study had a quantitative approach of non-experimental design of cross-sectional descriptive-relational design, using colorimetric enzymatic methods for the determination of Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL and Uric Acid, and the Friedewald formula for the calculation of LDL. Sixty-seven pregnant women in the second and third trimester of gestation participated, finding that Cholesterol, Triglycerides and LDL increased significantly with respect to the weeks of gestation, while HDL and uric acid showed no differences. When analyzing the relationship between lipid profile and uric acid with maternal age and gestational week, a positive correlation was found between Cholesterol, Triglycerides and LDL with respect to gestational weeks. It was established that lipid parameters are important in the diagnosis of preeclampsia, since the results obtained in this research show that patients with preeclampsia have higher values in the lipid profile than normal gestations. Therefore, the monitoring of lipid parameters can be considered as a diagnostic tool that allows observing and controlling alterations that go beyond the physiological, helping in a good prenatal control |
