Yhteenveto: | The objective of this research was to implement a psycho-pedagogical intervention based on the Pirate Adventure program to improve the cognitive function of attention in a student with attentional difficulties in the fourth grade of the Escuela de Educación Básica 18 de Noviembre, 2023. It was carried out under the quali-quantitative approach of cross-sectional, descriptive type, with a quasi-experimental design and case study method; the d2 test, the structured interview and the psycho-pedagogical card were used. As results of the interview, the teacher stated that the student presented attentional difficulties in the classroom, especially difficulty in paying attention to details, completing and organizing tasks, maintaining attention in activities in a sustained manner and inhibiting irrelevant stimuli; the results of the d2 test showed that the student presented low attentional capacity; the execution of the psycho-pedagogical intervention based on the Pirate Adventure program was structured in 16 sessions, in each session three tasks were performed, implementing a total of 15 activities for each task; the post-test shows a high level of attentional capacity, proving the improvement of attention from a low level to a high level after the intervention. Concluding that the implementation of the Pirate Adventure program improved the attention processes of the student participating in the case study. |
