Achoimre: | The present titling Project consists of the implementation of an automated backup solution in the data center of the Universidad Nacional de Loja, for the main servers, systems, network equipment and databases, counting in this way with a mechanism that Help ensure the integrity and availability of information in the event of an adverse event that may lead to loss of information, in order to obtain a reliable recovery. For the development of the project, it has been proposed a methodology composed by five phases, firstly an analysis of the current situation of the data center, to know its structure and the current situation of backups, in phase 2 a literary review of software tools of Backups to perform a comparative analysis of the main tools of information support, arriving to propose a solution with the Bacula network backup software for servers, systems and databases, while for the network devices the implementation of a TFTP server, so that the network devices send an automatic configuration. Then, in phase 3, experimentation was performed in a test scenario by taking three servers as clients and the UTI test server as the backup server, in which the TFTP service was also installed for the testing of the net devices. In the next phase, the required hardware was dimensioned, taking into consideration the information to be backed up by all the existing servers, finally in phase 5, to implement the solution proposed in the server designated for backups in the UTI’s data center, thus increasing the degree of availability and integrity of the information at the institution, as well as the continuity of the service. |
