| الملخص: | The research entitled “Curricular adaptations in literacy problems in fifth grade ‘A’ students of 'San Juan Bautista Educational Unit 2023-2024” had the general objective of comprehensively analyzing the curricular adaptations implemented to address literacy problems in that context. The specific characteristics of these adaptations were thoroughly identified, describing in detail the basic elements that make up literacy and highlighting the importance of implementing appropriate pedagogical strategies that respond to the particular needs of the students. In addition, an educational intervention proposal was designed to improve literacy performance. The research adopted a qualitative methodological approach that included non-systematic observations and semi-structured interviews with teachers and students. The results revealed that curricular adaptations, such as the use of visual materials, the implementation of individualized activities and the adaptation of teaching pace, proved to be significantly effective in supporting students with literacy difficulties. However, a notable discrepancy was identified between teachers' perceptions and direct observations of students' actual classroom performance, suggesting the need for greater consistency in the implementation of these adaptations. The research stresses the importance of carefully aligning educational strategies with the individual needs of students to improve their academic performance and foster a truly inclusive educational environment. Finally, the implementation of specific programs for vocabulary enrichment, the continued development of pedagogical strategies focused on literacy, the provision of ongoing training for teachers in differentiated teaching methods, and the replication of this study in diverse educational contexts to validate its applicability and effectiveness are recommended. |
