添加标签 | 总结: | The purpose of the present research is to determine whether the principle of equality in young candidates during electoral processes is fulfilled for which the sectional elections held in Ecuador in 2019 are taken as empirical evidence. Within this study, variables associated with gender, territory, political party, and personal motivations were considered as elements that help explain the participation of young people during electoral periods. The methodology applied in the present research had a qualitative approach, applied to a database granted by the CNE (processed using the Excel utility) and after that, it proceeded to triangulate the information through targeted interviews with the target population. The Likert Scale was used as a research tool to determine the level of participation of young people as candidates in the aforementioned electoral contest. Among the main results obtained, it is determined that there is a very low level of participation of young people as candidates for the different dignities of the levels of government (21%), thus determining the breach of the principle of equality analyzed in this research. |
