| Резюме: | This Curricular Integration Work was developed in order to implement recreational activities as an alternative to control hypertension in older adults at the "Arupos" Municipal Care Center in the city of Loja in 2024. In this research, a mixed approach of descriptive and correlational type was applied, with a quasi-experimental design. Diagnostic instruments such as a survey and a blood pressure test were applied to a sample of 9 older adults. Through the survey, it was possible to know the needs and inclinations about different recreational activities of the older adults under study. According to the diagnostic test applied, it was evident that 22% of the population has normal blood pressure levels, while 78% of the sample studied are hypertensive. Based on these results, a recreational intervention proposal was designed and applied, which was structured in 10 sessions of activities as an alternative for the control of hypertension. Similarly, the execution of the instrument for the culmination of the research was carried out, in which a great improvement in the aforementioned topic can be evidenced, observing a positive and important change. To conclude, it is important to mention that before the application of the proposal, hypertension levels were considerable in more than half of the sample; however, after the post-test application, a positive decrease in hypertension could be evidenced in the examined people, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of recreational activities as an alternative for hypertension control.
