| Shrnutí: | The study, "Maternal perinatal complications in pregnant adolescents: case control treated at the department of gynecology and obstetrics of Isidro Ayora Hospital Loja period June - November 2013, which aims to determine maternal and perinatal complications in pregnant adolescents compared with a group control. It is a prospective comparative study type, the sample consisted of 100 users divided into two groups (50) and nulliparous adolescents (50) adult primiparous; a sheet of data collection and reporting of perinatal medical records was used. The results are: 20% of primiparous adolescents had meconium main fetal complication and 18% of adults; 12% of girls and 20% of adults had a UTI as the most common maternal complication; 90% of pregnant adolescents secondary education, 60% students, 52% were single, 20% more frequent UTI as APP, 20% diabetes and hypertension as the main APF, 74% term pregnancy. Also 44% of primiparous adult secondary education, 50% occupancy in housework, 36% married, 30% IVU as APP, 36% hypertension and 94% as APF term pregnancy. Furthermore SDR 4% type I as neonatal complication leading pregnant adolescents and 6% in adult. 92% cephalic presentation in primiparous adolescents and 86% in adults. On the other hand 58% with dystocia in primiparous adolescents and 60% in adults. 86% with PAEG in pregnant adolescents and 92% adults. Vigorous neonate 92% of teenagers and 94% of adults.
