The objective of the present research is to make the diagnosis of pupil’s oral health in the primary schools Julian de Rúa Pizarro , José Vicente Andrade , Peace Corps , Juan Montalvo, in Vilcabamba parish, Loja city; this project is quantitative, descriptive, and transversal. The studied population is of 261 students, the data collection was through a clinic history and survey. Among the most relevant data can be noted that 77.8 % have dental caries, gingival inflammation 31,4% combined with 18% of gingival bleeding . Among them it was found finger sucking habits and mouth breathing with 0,4%. The most common diseases were the premature lost of deciduous teeth with 11,3%, bite vis a vis 9,6% and anterior crossbite with 8,8%. Regarding the fluorosis presence, 15.3% are light. The results revealed that all examined group present alterations in their oral cavity. KEY WORDS: Risk factors, dental cavity, gingival inflammation, oral health, habits, dental fluorosis. |
