Diagnóstico de salud bucodental y factores de riesgo en los Centros Educativos Primarios Julián de Rúa Pizarro, José Vicente Andrade, Cuerpo de Paz, Juan Montalvo de la parroquia Vilcabamba del cantón Loja, año 2013

The oral diseases are a big problem in our country and city, in rural and urban parishes. The objective of the present research is to make the diagnosis of pupil’s oral health in the primary schools Julian de Rúa Pizarro , José Vicente Andrade , Peace Corps , Juan Montalvo, in Vilcabamba parish, Loja city; this project is quantitative, descriptive, and transversal. The studied population is of 261 students, the data collection was through a clinic history and survey. Among the most relevant data can be noted that 77.8 % have dental caries, gingival inflammation 31,4% combined with 18% of gingival bleeding . Among them it was found finger sucking habits and mouth breathing with 0,4%. The most common diseases were the premature lost of deciduous teeth with 11,3%, bite vis a vis 9,6% and anterior crossbite with 8,8%. Regarding the fluorosis presence, 15.3% are light. The results revealed that all examined group present alterations in their oral cavity. KEY WORDS: Risk factors, dental cavity, gingival inflammation, oral health, habits, dental fluorosis.
