| Tóm tắt: | This research is entitled: "The curriculum of the Department of Physical Culture and its impact on the academic performance of students of II and III of the Joint High School Year National School Vilcabamba, school year 2010 - 2011", which seeks to give the same answer to the problem on academic performance (good and regular) in the area of Physical Culture with students II and III High School Year National Joint school Vilcabamba, where reference curriculum of Physical Culture and methodology of learning of the Physical Culture used by teachers; the investigation has the general objective: Determine how the curriculum and methodology applied in the area of Physical Culture in the Second and Third Year High School, affects the academic performance of students of the National School of Vilcabamba. Vilcabamba Joint parish, school year 2010 - 2011, in order to obtain alternatives for finding solutions according to the present reality. The specific objectives that have guided the research are to determine how the curriculum of the Department of Physical Culture affects academic achievement in students of II and III High School Year Joint Vilcabamba National School, school year 2010 - 2011, it is due to resume Area of Physical Culture; Determining how the methodology applied in teaching - learning area Physical Culture affects the academic performance of students of II and III High School Year Joint Vilcabamba National School, school year 2010 - 2011, The methods used were inductive - deductive analytical - synthetic, descriptive, explanatory and statistical; The technique was applied to the survey, via questionnaire, applied to two teachers of Physical Culture and 130 students of the II and III year Bachelor of the educational establishment, the same as was applied in May 2011, in Research shows did not exist as we worked with the entire universe of study. The main results of the research were: Most students do not know the Physical Education Curriculum, curriculum reform, curriculum content and the legal framework; the academic performance of students in Physical Culture is good and very good in a higher percentage; methodological strategies used by teachers are not adequate, relevant, the role of students is not clear to both teachers and students; Physical Culture assessments are entirely practical and quarterly basis, teachers are applying the traditionalist educational model - behavioral |
