Propuesta de turismo accesible para personas con discapacidad física en el centro recreacional “Víctor Manuel Palacios” (El Boquerón) cantón Catamayo, provincia de Loja

Catamayo is a town that has a variety of resources and attractive touristic places, one of them is the recreational center “Victor Manuel Palacios (El Boquerón)”. It has a lot of potential for tourism. However, it does not count with the necessary accessibility for physical disability people, in that way it is raised a proposal of accessible tourism for the physical disability people in this tourist place. As a general objective it is planned a proposal of accessible tourism for physical disability people in the recreational center mentioned, It is supported in two specific objectives which begin with a diagnostic of the actual situation, and it is accessible for the elements of the recreational center, it is used as an instrument in the survey sheet and hierarchy of the tourism Ministry attractive and for each element it is applied the accessibility survey sheet of the tourism Ministry. The results obtained from the accessibility of the elements of the touristic place show that it does not count with the accessible facilities for people with physical disabilities. It is determined that it is imperative for the touristic infrastructure to be considered accessible and attractive. In the second objective was carried out a FODA and crossed FODA analysis from which it was obtained the following strategies to carry out and renovate the touristic infrastructural and basic service taking into account the accessibility, train people in accessibility topics and management of tourist people with physical disability, for providing a better attention to the visitors; best the administrative management; to promote the recreational center; to ensure the security of the visitors, and obtain a certification of universal accessibility, concluding that when fulfilling with these proposes the center will be recognized as an accessible attraction and inclusive that will attract the attention of visitors.
