Sumari:The Health Education offers teachers and students needed to know the most common health problems and risk factors predisposing diseases acquisition also encourages the development of skills, attitudes and values aimed at maintaining health tools. This research entitled: Teaching Learning course Education for Health and the development of healthy lifestyles in students Module VII of the Chemical Biological Area Career Education, the Arts and Communication University National Loja, 2013-2014. Proactive guidelines. General aim: Relate the teaching and learning of the subject of Health Education, with the development of healthy lifestyles in module VII students of the School Chemical Biology. It is a descriptive research analytical, was oriented to analyze the learning of Health Education and describe its relationship to the development of healthy lifestyles in students. The descriptive, analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive development of the thesis the following methods were used. Also techniques were used such as literature and the survey was applied to one teacher and 23 students Module VII of the Chemical Biological Career. According to research carried out and considering the most relevant results it was evident that the learning of the subject of health education does not contribute to the development of healthy lifestyles because the content addressed in the course of Education health are numerous, that is not focused on one or two lifestyles that cause health problems to students, but includes various contents that correspond to food, physical activity, drug abuse, degenerative diseases and other issues. As for the methodological strategies used by teachers they rely more frequently at exhibitions, brainstorming and case studies; but strategies to foster the development of positive values and attitudes aimed at maintaining health are integrated. Regarding lifestyles it was evident that about half of the students do not have a healthy diet, due to the limited knowledge, time and financial resources; with regard to physical exercise students do not regularly performed; also alcohol consumption among students is low and refers to the weekends.
