Tóm tắt:The present research that deals with: Teaching techniques to improve academic performance in Language and Literature sixth grade, Educational Unit Dr. "Manuel Agustín Cabrera Lozano" period 2023 - 2024, worked on the following general objective: To contribute to the improvement of low academic performance, through the use of teaching techniques in Language and Literature, sixth "A", Educational Unit Dr. "Manuel Agustín Cabrera Lozano" period 2023 - 2024. Manuel Agustín Cabrera Lozano, period 2023-2024; to carry out this research, three specific objectives were proposed: first, to identify the teaching techniques used by the teacher in the teaching-learning process of Language and Literature; second, to determine the difficulties presented by students due to low academic performance in Language and Literature; and finally, to propose alternatives to help improve low academic performance through the implementation of teaching techniques in Language and Literature. A mixed approach with a non-experimental type of research was used for the present study, as well as scientific, analytical, inductive, deductive and observational methods; 22 students were selected by means of a non-probabilistic sampling, and a survey and an interview were conducted with the teacher in order to elucidate the investigated problem. According to the research, it was determined that the teaching techniques contribute significantly to improve the low performance of the students. From all the research work, it is concluded that the teacher should be in constant training because the application of teaching techniques will allow him to improve his educational actions and will make the students have a greater authenticity and criticality through the development of their autonomy as well as their skills, where they can learn based on their own experiences.
