| الملخص: | The objective of this research work is to determine the incidence of food consumption in the Academic Performance of children from the first grade EGB "B"; morning section of the "Teniente Hugo Ortiz" School of Loja, period 2017 -2018. To achieve this objective, the scientific, synthetic, inductive and deductive analytical method was used. To obtain the information, some techniques are used, such as: Interviews to the teacher the surveys to the parents. So that, a guideline of how the children are fed. It was found the that consumption of junk food is of 75%. While, the consumption of fruits is very low; reaching 30%. Knowing that 4 to 5 meals per day should be consumed, the basic functions test for "REAA". Having a sample of 20 boys and girls, of which It is obtained as the main result in the initial test that shows a 100% disabled the area of auditory visual coordination and the area of auditory sequence. After having applied a didactic guide to improve the academic performance of children, there were made some developments when applying the post-test; having a result that 65% of the children investigated improved in the area of auditory visual coordination and a 40% in the auditory sequence area. It is concluded that in the school period it is necessary the intake of healthy food, such as vegetables and fruits in order to optimize their overall development and to avoid future illness, malnourished, or obese children. being affected their medical condition, thus damaging their school performance. It is recommended that children should be educated from home to eat healthy and nutritious food. eliminating the packed or bottled food. Also, the teacher should keep applying a guide of activities to enhance the development of their children. |
