Miêu tả
Tóm tắt:The Iron deficiency anemia is one of the currently problems the world is facing, and our country is not the only exception. Currently, you can see the iron deficiency at a very early age. This research work has established the following objectives: determination of ferritin, serum iron and hemoglobin as a diagnostic aid of iron deficiency anemia in teenager women. Usefulness of ferritin, serum iron and hemoglobin, to compare the results with serum ferritin iron and hemoglobin with the purpose of evaluating a group of teenager women from the Hernán Gallardo Moscoso High School from Loja. The study was from transversal and descriptive type, with a sample of 70 students from 12 to 18 years old, which met the inclusion criteria, reaching the following conclusions: low levels were: 40% in ferritin, 7% in serum iron and 3% in hemoglobin. The comparison of ferritin with serum iron indicates values indicates that 75 % of the teenagers in this study show low levels, 25% with normal ferritin and low serum iron, the 38.7 % with low ferritin and normal serum iron, the 61.3 % agree with the standard values of ferritin with serum iron, the 25% with low ferritin and high serum iron, and the 75% with normal ferritin and high serum iron; and the comparison of the ferritin values with hemoglobin indicates that 100% of the teenagers from the study possess low levels, the 41.67 % with low ferritin and normal serum iron, the 58.33 % agree with the normal values of ferritin with hemoglobin, and the 100% with high hemoglobin and ferritin. We suggest to the educational, university and Human health authorities, to give the necessary support to make similar studies in a male population aged from 12 to 18 years. Keywords: ferritin, serum iron, hemoglobin, teens, iron deficiency anemia.
