Descripció
Sumari:Adolescent pregnancy is a public health ongoing problem due to the biopsychosocial repercussions it has on the health of the mother and child, causing serious problems in their development, family environment, and life project. Therefore, the current curricular integration work was carried out with the purpose of determining the risk factors associated with adolescent pregnancy in the Belén de Loja Health Center. It was an analytical study of cases and controls, in which 7 pregnant adolescents and 14 non-pregnant adolescents between 10 and 19 years of age participated. For data collection "Data collection file for cases and controls" was employed, and for statistical analysis, the point prevalence formula and the Odds Ratio (OR) statistical measure together with the continuity correction. Among the results, it was estimated that 6 out of every 100 adolescents become pregnant at an early age; most of the pregnant women are in late adolescence, the same who have a secondary education level; the indicators: age of onset of menarche, age of onset of sexual relations and education in contraceptive methods have in themselves the probability of reaching an early pregnancy (OR= >1), however, they are not statistically significant (p-value> 0.05). In conclusion, in the study area, the incidence of adolescent pregnancy is low, moreover, when statistically analyzing the personal, family, and socioeconomic factors, they do not represent a significant association to dispose one adolescent pregnancy
