| Summary: | Abstract: the Adolescent pregnancy is a worldwide problem due to the increase in maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality, which represents a problem for public health. This study was descriptive, it was proposed as main objective: To describe the conditions of the Newborn of Adolescent mothers in the Hospital San Vicente de Paul de Pasaje in the period 2013-2015, seeking then to know the pathologies present in the newborns, the older age Prevalence of pregnancy in adolescents, the number of prenatal controls, maternal pathologies during gestation, the end of pregnancy and its causes. The sample consisted of 252 adolescents, the number of cases was obtained by the application of the sampling formula, was selected in multiple of 4 in order to remove 7 adolescents for each month during the 3 years. It was found that 74% had Adequate Weight for Gestational Age (AEG), 90% achieved APGAR score in normal ranges (> 7 points) both at 1 minute and at 5 minutes, on the other hand within the pathologies 46% were affected by: Respiratory Distress and Risk of Infection. Among the maternal factors, the age of the pregnant adolescents was between 15 and 16 years old, 43%, they attended 4 to 5 controls 47%, among the maternal pathologies in the pregnant women presented Urinary Tract Infection and Anemia in 71 % Of them, the pregnancy ended in Previous cesarea in 51.59%, whose causes were: Cefalopelvic Disproportion, Podalic Presentation and vaginal delivery reached 48.41%. Conclusions: most of the newborns were normal weight, in the APGAR normal ranges were reached for 1 minute and 5 minutes, the perinatal pathologies that stood out were: Respiratory Distress and Risk of Infection.
