Ychwanegu Tag | Crynodeb: | Cryptocurrencies are a decentralized and intangible means of payment alternative to regular money, in other words, through these virtual currencies the exchange can be carried out, managing a digital encryption that guarantees security without the existence of mediators. In this context, the objective of the research was to determine the influence of cryptocurrencies in the personal finances of the students of the UNL Finance Career. To achieve this, the research applied an exploratory, descriptive and quantitative methodology, bibliographic collection techniques and a survey. The results obtained indicate that the students have a basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the advantages of their use. It was also possible to determine that a large percentage of students consider that the use of digital currencies is related to illicit activities and are not suitable for investment, due to their volatility. Finally, the research concludes that there is no knowledge and interest in the population studied, on the subject of cryptocurrencies. Therefore, it is recommended that the academic unit deepen the study of cryptocurrencies and their derivatives and integrate it as part of the Finance Career curriculum given its importance as a technological development in the financial area |
