| सारांश: | Disorders of eating behavior (TCA) constitute a psychiatric pathology observed especially in adolescence; the pathogenesis is multidimensional in which several factors interact, including genes, life events, personality and sociocultural context. The study came up with the aim of knowing eating disorders and their risk factors in adolescents. It is a quantitative, descriptive and transversal study. The sample consisted of 296 adolescents, 166 women and 130 men, 14 to 19 years. Eatting Attitudes Test and the Questionnaire of Influences on body shape model was applied. 13 % had eating disorders, of which the most common eating disorder is a disorder unspecified 42 %, atypical anorexia nervosa occurred in 32%, and atypical bulimia nervosa in 26%. Female gender was more frequent in all eating disorders. Regarding the age of onset, anorexia nervosa was presented more frequently at the age of 16 years, bulimia at the age of 15 years and the eating disorder not specified at the age of 15 years. 29% of teenagers have sociocultural risk factors and are affected by the influence of advertising, discomfort with body image and body aesthetic models. Information was delivered by leaflets to sensitize teachers and teens about eating disorders.
