Shrnutí: | Education faces the challenge of adapting to the new forms of online reading and writing; thus, creating a need to promote digital and multimedia literacy in the country's educational institutions. This study evaluates the bookgame platform (https://bookgame.me) to develop creative writing skills in tenth-grade students. For this purpose, a didactic sequence focused on the production of interactive fiction texts was designed. By analyzing the texts that the students produced, aspects such as coherence, cohesion, and narrative elements were examined. Also, qualitative data was collected through interviews to identify students’ experiences and perceptions during the creative process. The results indicate a positive impact on skill development, with a notable improvement in constructing coherent stories, and correctly using narrative and interactive elements. Participants demonstrated a greater ability to achieve cohesion throughout their texts, as well as achieving greater fluency and t he capacity to produce longer texts when creating stories using the Aristotelian structure. The interviews support the positive impact of the gamebook platform, a digital tool that ended up being both attractive and motivating to stimulate the participants’ imagination and make creative writing a ludic activity. In conclusion, it can be demonstrated that applying the gamebook platform in the classroom favors the teaching and learning process of creative writing, offering schools new ways to engage students with the latest technological tools. |
