Summary:The maternal position during the childbirth, it has evolved throughout our history from a stage in which prioritized the vertical position of the mother to everyday dorsal lithotomy position known as the most widely used today. This is the unnoticed reason in this variety of delivery in relation to the position preferably in lithotomy given by the medical comfort, techniques and procedures for neonatal hosting, and ignorance by the users of this implementation in health units, inhibiting the choice of delivery and decreasing the comfort and satisfaction of users. Therefore it was appropriate to raise the issue of research "LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF USERS FOR CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE CHILDBIRTH CATERED IN THE BASIC SARAGURO HOSPITAL PERIOD APRIL-DECEMBER 2015". This work is aimed at achieving the following objectives: to determine the percentage of users who choose culturally appropriate childbirth; know the level of satisfaction on culturally appropriate childbirth; identify the level of care provided by the medical team OB-GYN to users catered by culturally appropriate childbirth in the period April-December 2015. To fulfill this research project was analytical methodology, transversal; with a total population of 70 people, applying a survey the same that was analyzed in SPSS 24 version. In the data results from a total of 166 users who had given birth was obtained, having 70 who opted for culturally appropriate childbirth corresponding to a percentage of 42.2%; the level of overall user satisfaction was 81.4%; the level of care provided medical equipment OB-GYN to users served by culturally appropriate childbirth was good at 64.3%. It concludes that the level of satisfaction of users who opted for culturally appropriate childbirth is good in relation to the position taken, adequacy of the childbirth room, family support and care from OB-GYN staff.
