Descripción
Sumario:The present research work consists of a technical proposal for the design of an exploitation system for the area of free use of construction materials "GADMZ San Francisco RS", code 50001082, located in the Cumbaratza parish of the Zamora canton, province of Zamora Chinchipe, area with an extension of 6 contiguous mining hectares, and an authorized extraction volume of 20,000 m ^ 3; materials to be used for the coverage of solid waste in the sanitary landfill of the Zamora canton, located in the Namírez Alto - San Francisco sector, and for the improvement of the access road to the landfill, from the road called Troncal Amazónica, which comprises approximately a stretch of 8 km. The research was developed in three phases: preparatory, field, and cabinet, which allowed obtaining results of the topography, geology, and volumes of exploitation, establishing that the study area has an irregular relief and that it constitutes part of the Batholith of Zamora. Lithologically the area is constituted by granodiorite characterized by the presence of quartz, plagioclase, orthoses, hornblende, amphibole, and muscovite. In addition to this, the laboratory phase was developed, which allowed testing and determining the quality of the material, for comparison with the standards established in current Ecuadorian regulations, according to the user assigned to the extracted material. The results obtained allowed us to establish that the recommended exploitation system is an open pit by ascending banks and also to determine the geometric mining parameters for the design of the same. Keywords: mining system, material quality, geology, mineralogy, cubing.
