Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | The purpose of the present research was to realize a study about the action of the dental remineralizing derivative of the casein, such as the Recaldent and Novamin, in the most common injuries of the enamel such as white spot and enamel hypoplasia, and to do a comparison among the results obtained in the field work that was carried out with students of 7th years at Marieta De Veintimilla School all of whom present dental demineralization in the period March- July 2015, in order to determine the effectiveness of these products present in the toothpastes. At the same time this investigation allowed to gather data about etiology and clinical manifestations of the enamel hypoplasia and white spot, in a close universe to the situation we live due to the research was carried out in one of the schools in Loja city with a big demand of students; information very useful for further investigations. The field research was made in three stages; the first one in which the initial state of the enamel lesions was encoded and photographed, the second one consisted of performing dental prophylaxis following toothpastes applications with casein derivatives. And finally a third stage in which was done a new assessment of codification and photos of the study group, for its comparison at the beginning and end of treatment. The outcomes of the research showed that Recaldent has a 100% of effectiveness in white spots and 80% of effectiveness in enamel hypoplasia, whereas the remineralization of white spot by treatment with Novamin is only 60% and for enamel hypoplasia is 43%.
