El facebook como medio de comunicación en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de primero de bachillerato de la unidad educativa José Antonio Eguiguren la Salle.

The thesis denominated: “EL FACEBOOK COMO MEDIO DE COMUNICACIÓN EN EL RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE PRIMERO DE BACHILLERATO DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA JOSÉ ANTONIO EGUIGUREN LA SALLE”. Its principal problem is: How does Facebook influences in the academic performance of the students of first year of bachillerato from Jose Antonio Eguiguren “La Salle” High School. The investigation’s general objective is to determinate how does Facebook influences in academic performance of students of first year of bachillerato from Jose Antonio Eguiguren “La Salle” High School, indicating mainly what are the advantages and disadvantages that this social network has, investigating whether this network is positive or negative in relation to academic performance, also whit which purpose is used this network. The methods used were analytical, deductive, and inductive. Meanwhile, the techniques used were: the survey and interview. In the same way, the instruments used during the investigation were: camera, and data registers. The research was carried out with bibliographic character, which has been executed by using texts and virtual studies in order to get the more updated possible information. Recognizing that Facebook has more popularity with adolescents than adults. Once the research will be completed, the conclusions and recommendations will be presented. Inside one of the conclusions we have Facebook and other social networks (twitter, Instagram) takes away time, which can use it in productive activities such as sports, reading and spending time with family. In other results. Do you know what the disadvantages of this social network are? 28% said that if they know what are the disadvantages has Facebook, and 72% said they ignore what are the disadvantages
