Resumo:The objective of this study is to determine the characteristics and elements of microcurricular planning for the development of communication, mathematics, digital and socio-emotional skills, important information that the teacher must master to carry out relevant planning and guarantee an optimal teaching and learning process. The methodology of the work was with a mixed approach, that is, qualitative and quantitative, its design was documentary and not experimental, the documentary review method was applied with a descriptive scope and implementing the signing technique to synthesize the most relevant information through search logs and mixed files. The most relevant result is that the current microcurricular planning of the Ecuadorian educational system emphasizes the basic skills of the 21st century. In conclusion, it is essential that the teacher master the prioritized Curriculum with an emphasis on communication, mathematics, digital and socio-emotional skills so that their planning is relevant, and in which it is necessary to apply the appropriate didactic strategies for the development of skills.
