Adherencia terapéutica y complicaciones en la salud de pacientes hipertensos atendidos en el Hospital Básico de la parroquia Amaluza

Being arterial hypertension a chronic noncommunicable disease and a public health problem of importance worldwide due to the high cost generated by its management both at the primary level and the treatment of its complications; The present investigation focused on determining whether or not there is adherence to treatment in hypertensive patients treated at the Basic Hospital of the Amaluza parish, the factors that influence it, as well as identifying the effects on health secondary to not carrying out adequate management. of this pathology. Through a descriptive study, with a quantitative approach, a cross-sectional, observational and prospective cohort, in which 86 patients whose ages ranged between 50 and 80 years old participated, with a predominance of female patients and who mainly met the the inclusion criteria established for the effect, it was established that there is a lack of therapeutic adherence in 62%, compared to 37.21% that there is adherence, which is given by the direct influence of factors related to therapy and factors socioeconomic that lead to patients having behaviors of non-adherence and therefore presenting signs and symptoms of involvement at the level of important organs, such as renal 61.62%, cardiac 32.56%, ophthalmological 67.44% and involvement at the cerebral 40.7% that modify the quality of life of patients leading to an increase in morbidity and mortality in this population due to non-compliance with treatment
