The research entitled Pictographic reading in the learning of oral language in students of the second grade class “B” of the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Mercedes de Jesús Molina de la Ciudad de Loja periodo 2018-2019. Alternative guidelines as a general objective: To analyze the use of pictographic reading in the process of oral language learning for second grade students B of the Mercedes de Jesús Molina Fiscomisional Educational Unit of the City of Loja, and to fulfill this general objective, three specific objectives have been raised. The type of study is descriptive; non-experimental design, with mixed qualitativequantitative approach, with methods: scientific, analytical, inductive, deductive and statistical; The techniques used were the observation, the survey, and the interview with the instrument called the questionnaire, which served to confirm that the teacher uses a traditionalist teaching method, in the same way flaws that prevent the proper development of students at the time of use reading, to communicate with each other, poor participation in class, poor articulation, barriers to be understood, little stimulation to learn songs, stories and poems, and the non-use of pictographic reading as a teaching tool in teaching Oral language, therefore, learners do not participate actively and show difficulties in expressing each other. Therefore, it is concluded that, the use of pictographic reading facilitates the teachinglearning process because it gives the student the ability to learn through the visualization of images and after that, elaborate stories, describe objects, build communicative ideas that improve their skills and abilities The research population consisted of 26 people from the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Mercedes de Jesús Molina de la Ciudad de Loja The materials were: technological and desktop. Finally, the second grade teacher “B” is recommended to investigate and update information on the importance of using and preparing pictographic readings in the Language and Literature classes and thus improving oral language in their students.
