Zusammenfassung:The consumption of pornography is a social problem, facilitated by technology that predisposes the exposure and permanence of this phenomenon, generating a significant impact on the human being, on culture and society; which has generated different perspectives to consolidate it as a pathological diagnostic category. Therefore, this problem was addressed with the aim of describing the effects of pornography consumption on the sexual behavior of adolescents and young adults in Ecuador in the period 2015-2021; for which scientific literature was analyzed and interpreted through the bibliographic-documentary review of 23 sources of information. It was found that the categorization of this phenomenon is still under discussion, however, the tendency to consume pornography originates from culture, the level of sexual education and technology; It is difficult to notice consequences in individuals due to subjectivity, nevertheless, a tendency towards the practice of risky sexual behaviors, imitation of sexual practices, increased masturbation, less sexual satisfaction, which have repercussions on the well-being of its consumers, was denoted. It was concluded that the consumption of pornography is a normalized practice with a high incidence in the Ecuadorian adolescent and young adult population in the context of sexuality, a phenomenon facilitated by ICTs. It is recommended to undertake sexual education workshops in order to raise awareness about sexuality and guide towards critical consumption, to distinguish reality from fiction and promote healthy and responsible sexual practices with oneself and others.
