| Achoimre: | The purpose of this Curricular Integration Work is to determine compliance with the School Feeding Program (PAE) in the Basic Education School “Teniente Hugo Ortiz”. For this, it was of utmost importance to design information collection instruments such as interview and focus group directed to the key actors of the program, these instruments were developed based on the variables of distribution, coverage and academic performance that were identified from the general objective of the Project of “Intervention in School Feeding of the Ministry of Education, same that remains in force since 2016. Within the methodology used for the development of the work we have the inductive method, which was based on the collection of specific data through observation and experimentation, allowing to reach conclusions of a general nature with respect to the program, on the other hand, the analytical-descriptive method helped diagnose the current situation of the program. In addition, the SWOT tool was used to determine the current situation of the program and thus establish strategies to strengthen it. The Operational Evaluation Model of the School Feeding Program, issued by the National Secretariat of Planning and Development (SENPLADES), was used as a reference to gain a more accurate understanding of the program's compliance. The results revealed that the shortcoming of the program lies in the distribution of school feeding products, since the key actors are unaware of the planning and guidelines of the program, with respect to coverage the PAE complies successfully, to corroborate this information was taken as reference two academic periods where the student body increased by 1.4% and school meals have always been delivered to the institution according to the number of students, i.e. there have never been shortages or surpluses of the products. Finally, in order to determine if the school lunch has an impact on academic performance, an analysis of student grades was made for the 2020-2021 academic period, when students did not receive school lunch due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and for the 2021-2022 academic period, when students resumed classes and school lunch, This means that the snack does not affect the academic performance of students, because it is not a complete meal, nor is it delivered according to the guidelines, it should be emphasized that there are other factors that affect academic performance. |
