Description
Summary:The general objective of this research is to analyse the financial sustainability of Popular and Solidarity Economy organisations in Loja. Through three financial indicators: liquidity, net profitability and profitability based on assets, the aim is to evaluate financial sustainability and the level of education, staff training, accounting records and ownership of real estate. A relationship was established between financial sustainability and the variables considered to be intervening for the Popular and Solidarity Economy sector, in order to find out whether these variables contribute to organisational expansion or, on the contrary, the problems it faces may slow down its current development. A mixed research methodology was used, in which quantitative and qualitative data were used to identify patterns and trends. Within this framework, it is assumed that financial sustainability enables organisations and their members to assess income, develop their productive capacities and improve their living conditions. Finally, it is concluded that financial sustainability depends on the academic level of managers and internal management. However, a growth trend cannot be predicted based on the independent variables discussed.
