Sumari:This research is a transversal, descriptive study in order to determine the prevalence of parasites in School "Ricardo Valdivieso," Cera neighborhood Taquil Parish of the city of Loja from January to August 2015. The universe and shows was 46 children aged 6 to 8 years, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria; data collection was carried out through a coproparasitario examination by direct examination technique. The results revealed the presence of parasites in 60.9% of students, of which 53.6% belonged to the male and 46.4% female. By the results of the prevalent coproparasitario examination in monoparasitados children they are 21.4% Entamoeba histolytica, followed by 14.3% Entamoeba coli and less frequent roundworm, Blastocystis hominis and whipworm each representing a 3.6%, and those with poliparasitosis is 35.7% of Giardia lamblia + Entamoeba histolytica. In conclusion the male dominated mostly about females in the population studied; about age greater number within the study population are children 5 years old and with respect to the frequency of intestinal parasitosis in school Ricardo Valdivieso is 60.9% of students; monoparasitados in children being the most prevalent parasite Entamoeba histolytica while in polyparasitized + Entamoeba histolytica Giardia lamblia.
