Description
Résumé:Popular music is part of the collective memory of a people and therefore is part of the intangible cultural heritage transmitted from generation to generation. This transmission has been orally, so it is important to have a written support that allows safeguarding the melodies and that they are accessible for interpretation. It was proposed to carry out a process of transcription and arrangement for piano and voice format of the works of the singer-songwriter Danny Pinos, who has a considerable number of works written in various musical genres. This research aims to contribute to the musical education centers of the city of Guaranda through the transcription and arrangement of piano and voice format of the traditional Ecuadorian music compositions of the singer-songwriter Danny Pinos. The methodological design is non-experimental transactional, which allowed the exploration and description of the musical work under study. The artistic product resulting from this work benefits the musical education centers of the city of Guaranda and its results contribute to the visibility enhancement and dissemination of the national musical repertoire. Already in the final part of this research we can observe that one of the most relevant conclusions derives from the little attention that Bolivarian composers receive to spread their repertoire, which contains the Ecuadorian musical tradition in its lines. Keywords: Ecuadorian traditional music, transcription and arrangements, Danny Pinos.
