Análisis de las construcciones rurales en el Barrio central de la parroquia Chuquiribamba, cantón Loja, provincia de Loja

The current investigation was carried out in the Central Neighborhood of Chuquiribamba parish, canton Loja, province of Loja, this area is considered an area of importance for being Cultural Heritage declared there by for its vernacular architecture. The present work was carried out with the primary objective to contribute to the knowledge of the rural constructions and their relevance for the good living of the population. The methodology applied was divided into three main phases; the first consisted in the identification of the types of Rural Constructions, by means of a field reconnaissance. The second phase focused on the determination of the materials that are used in the rural constructions, through implementation of a technical sheet or survey. The third phase was performed to obtain information about the building technologies present in the area under study, by using the redemption of the historic memory through interviews to the key informants who are knowledgeable regarding these technologies. The results achieved are focused on the different types of Rural Constructions encountered throughout the investigation and the materials employed in its construction, amongst which stand out for their importance housing, animal lodgings and storage structures. Traditional construction technologies were rescued on land as they are the wattle and daub, mud wall and mud brick.
