| Sammanfattning: | The Curricular Research work titled "Didactic Material in the Teaching and Learning of Multiplication with Decimal Numbers, in Fifth Grade of basic education, at 'Miguel Riofrio' School, academic period 2023-2024," aimed to determine how didactic material influences in the teaching and learning process of multiplication with decimals. The specific objectives were: to identify the didactic material currently used in the teaching and learning of multiplication with decimals, to propose an educational improvement plan to enhance the teaching and learning process of multiplication with decimals, and to evaluate the impact of the proposal developed for teaching and learning multiplication with decimals. The research had a quantitative approach; the type of research was descriptive, with a non-experimental, cross- sectional design. The methods used were: hermeneutic, inductive, deductive, analytical, synthetic, bibliographic, and statistical. The techniques used were observation and surveys. The population consisted of 23 students and one teacher. The results indicate that both the teacher and the students show a considerable improvement in multiplication with decimals, which is effective in facilitating the understanding that didactic material is a useful tool to achieve significant learning that can be put into practice for the benefit of society. Therefore, these operations are fundamental to broadening our way of thinking and demonstrating that multiplication is essential in everyday life, often allowing us to solve problems spontaneously. |
