Résumé:Considering the need to provide quality education and generate significant learning and knowing that the teacher does not use educational tools or resources to meet the learning needs, it is important to consider the necessary implementation of concrete material in the teaching-learning process of addition in students. In this context, the main objetive of this study is to determine the incidence of concrete material in the teaching and learning of addition in the second grade of the Basic Education School 3 de Diciembre, Catacocha 2023. This research has a mixed approach with a cross-sectional design; the methods used were: analytical, inductive, deductive, statistical and hermeneutic and as an instrument the interview directed to the teacher and an initial or diagnostic evaluation and a final evaluation directed to the 10 students of second grade parallel A. A bibliographic review was made of both the theoretical support and the activities with concrete material, from wich a list was made , the concrete material, was designed and elaborate an finally a proposal of a didactic guide was built, oriented to develop the teaching-learning process of addition with the use of concrete material. Among the most elevant results it was determined that the second grade teacher uses to a greater extent the problem solving method relating them to daily life and to a lesser extent and occasionally the concrete material; after working with the students and applying different activities with concrete material for the teaching and learning of addition and finally applying a final evaluation, it was evidenced in the students the improvemment of the qualification and therefore, in a greater percentage of these, the acquisition of the required skills and abilities and in other cases the mastery of the required learning with respect to addition.
