That is why in public management it is about applying countless applications, strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services, ICTs are one of them, since they allow more efficient work. The present study called “Use of ICTs in citizen security of district 02 of the national police, in the urban parishes of Catamayo and San José, Catamayo canton, province of Loja, year 2023”, whose objective is “Structuring a proposal for improvement for the effective use of ICTs as tools to strengthen citizen security in the urban parishes of Catamayo and San José, Catamayo canton, province of Loja, year 2023", was based on a methodology with a qualitative approach, its scope was exploratory - descriptive, non-experimental, descriptive and action research, using the inductive and deductive method; The techniques used were direct observation, interview (2 people), focus groups (8 people) and the TOWS Matrix; allowing the following results to be obtained: 54.14% of the citizen surveillance protocols are partially fulfilled and 42.86% of the protocols are not fulfilled in the neighborhoods; Police personnel receive training and financial resources are limited. Establishing that the Institution has shortcomings with regard to citizen security, both in its applications and processes in the “Catamayo” and “San José” neighborhoods, therefore, it is necessary to propose a Preventive Improvement Plan that allows for some mitigation. the problem of administrative management of police officers versus citizen security. |
